Lake Turkana: Our tours to Lake Turkana and tribes of the northern regions are All Year. The annual Turkana Festival happens in late November, but dates do vary.
Masai Mara: All-year destination for wildlife photography. August-September is a good time for the Wildebeest Migration.
Amboseli: Late August-October is the dry season and is best for photographing Elephants crossing dry open pans.
A highlight of any Kenya photographic tour, the Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Its sweeping savannahs and abundant game offer a perfect canvas for photography year-round. During the Great Migration, millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River, creating powerful scenes of movement, tension, and survival. In addition to wildlife, photographers can document the striking contrast between golden plains and the vibrant traditions of the Maasai people. This region truly blends wildlife, landscape, and cultural storytelling in one unforgettable photo safari.

Amboseli National Park is a must-visit on any Kenya photographic tour. Known for its iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, it offers one of the most photogenic backdrops in Africa. Early morning light bathes the landscape in gold, while dramatic sunsets ignite the sky—perfect for both wildlife and landscape photography. Large herds of elephants roaming the open plains are a signature sight, often captured with the snow-capped mountain towering behind. From lush wetlands to arid savannah, Amboseli delivers an incredible range of scenes for any photo safari in Kenya.

Northern Kenya and Lake Turkana are among the most remote and visually striking regions featured in a Kenya photographic tour. Often called the “Jade Sea” for its turquoise shimmer, Lake Turkana is the world’s largest desert lake—surrounded by volcanic rock, vast lava fields, and dramatic arid landscapes. This wild frontier is not only a haven for landscape photographers, but also a rich cultural experience. From sunrise reflections over the lake to intimate portraits of the Turkana people, every frame tells a story of timeless beauty and resilience.
